wireless card question.

i have a compaq laptop from days gone by (very old). i have been told that it will need a type 1 pcmcia card to go wireless.
is that true?
i think that a type 2 pcmcia card wont work in a laptop of this age (pentium 1).
any ideas?

wtf. i didnt know they made pentium 1 laptops. lmao. i dont think anythings compatible with that these days. how thick is that laptop, lol?

funnily enough it is reasonably thin! about 50mm.
it may be pent 2?
its a compaq 100 notebook.
and cards do work in it, i have it running windows xp at the moment and it aint mega slow lmao.

ok so i have moved this forward, just in case anyone can shed any light on this notebook.
it needs a wireless card fitting in the pcmcia slot. however i dont think a new type card will work!
does anyone know what card would work in this type of notebook?
