I'm having a problem with REGISTRY REPAIR AND RECOVERY feature that came with Service Pack 1 for WInXP. This feature repairs the registry if it finds errors, using a very old copy ot reg file. And, by doing so, many of recently installed programs appear to be "not installed".
Microsoft has issued a patch to disable this problematic feature, but it is distributed only trough their support serivce. And, ofcourse, it costs 25$. I can't afford it.
Does anyone have this patch???
