Hi Guys
IÂ’m New Here
I have a 250 Mb file and I want to zip it with WinRar. But at the same time I want to make split them to 4-5 files. So when you want to extract them it will just ask for next file and Â….
I donÂ’t know if you guys know what IÂ’m talking about
But I hope I will find my answer here
Thank you

You can't split it using ZIP. You have to use RAR. It has a setting to split it below the compression method. I guess you will have to copy al parts to your HD before you can extract the main file.

oh sorry...i wanted to say rar but i said zip :D
but how do i do it??
I tried doing it using the option “split to volumes, bytes” under the “compression method” but I still can’t figure it out.

Try this.....

Open Winrar and start the "Wizard"

select "Create a New Archive" and click "Next"

A window will open to select the file or files to add to archive.

Browse to the folder with the files to add, highlite the files to
add to archive. Once selected click "OK"

The next window will be the "Archive Name" window. Give your
archive a name and click "Next"

under "Archiving Options" check the "Faster, but less tight
compression" box. Click the drop-down window under "If you
wish to split the archive" and input the individual file size in
bytes...For your needs 50,000,000 would give you roughly 5
files. For standard and more reliable file integrity (only from my
experience) I would choose 15,000,000, but this would give you
more files to unrar---its your choice.

You can also check the "Create Self Extracting Archive" box if you
desire.

When done click "Finish" and the "Creating Archive" process will
start.

Make sure you know the location of the folder where the archive
will be placed. I think by default it will begin to place the archives
on your desktop unless you setup a folder location ahead of time.
