Which installation will get me fastest and best overall results. Installing XP on a SATA Hard Drive, IDE, or ATA/133

ATA133 and SATA are the same with windows... Windows XP only allows for 100MB/sec transfer anyways. It wont make ANY difference, so do any of them.

IDE and ATA133 are the same thing. ATA133 is just a different speed rating for the IDE interface. THere's also ATA33, ATA66, and ATA100. SATA is 150...

I don't know what windows is limited to as AMD said, but I do know that a good portion of the drives can't reach their max rated speeds... I doubt you would get over 100MB/s with most drives, even over ATA100
