Windows XP installation error

Hi everyone

I am installing XP and everything goes OK until the "installation preparation" stage where I get this error " an error occurred copying file txtsetup.sif to C:\$win_NT$.~BT\txtsetup.sif Data error (cyclic redundancy check)"

I appreciate any help from you guys.

sorry ive searched and found nothing using what you gave me, give it a while and Warez Monster shall probably help hes good with things like this

Is this a real xp cd? and are you booting from the cd or installing from windows? This error can be caused by using a copied xp cd. Try another xp cd.

I agree with flashdude... It could also be a dirty CD, or CD lens. I have had this happen, taken the disk out, given everything a blast of air and, viola, it worked.
