I have a 64 bit computer, and my friedn told me that he got windows xp 64 bit. What are advantages of this, is it compatible with all the programs that run on windows xp, and how would i get it?

Thanks.

O and quick question: I have 2 older sticks on ram on my system and was thinking about getting some new sticks of that fast corsair ram. my older ram is not corsair, so can i still use the 2 sets of sticks in conjuction or would i have to throw away my old ones?

But if the old ram is slower than the new it will slow the new one to it's own speed? As the question mark tells I am not sure about this.

Yes. The system will run with the slowest speed. So if the old RAM is PC2700 and the new RAM is PC3200, all the memory will run at PC2700.
