It's me again.What is the difference between win xp home edition and the home edition upgrade?Is the upgrade all I need if I already have win 98?Or do I need the full version?Thanks again for any help..

If you already have a Legal, licenced copy of windows 98, and you still have your CD-Key, all you need is the upgrade, you can install XP right over the top of it, or erase 98 and install fresh.

If you ever have to re-install XP, all you will need is to still have the 98 disk, it will ask you for it during the install. So dont get rid of it.
