windows startup

Hi,
If I double click a "big" program while windows is starting up, the next time windows loads, the hard drive works more and longer. Why does this happen and what can I do to fix it.

Don't think it does. You just think it does, unless you have made that "big" program load at startup.

You should wait for the system to stabalize after booting up (finish loading everything), before opening any programs.
