I got a hold on a wireless adapter and when i intaled it it said it did not pass windows product testing.I instaled it because hell windows does not pass product testing. So i was just wondering is it bad for a computer to have this installed and does it make windows more unstable.

Certain vendors give MS their products to "certify" as MS "compatible". It's a marketing ploy for both MS and the vendor. The only exception really is if it is so old that it's just not supported by any modern OS. You should be fine.

It is just saying that microsoft has not looked at your hardware/software and said yeah it works! If you want you can go to the site and find the "test" center. That will stop that error from coming up again...
thought id share about stopping the problem

Was it a Linksys by chance? Mine does that all the time, it's no big deal, at least with the Linksys.
