Windows Password Help

Hey all. I have a friend who's daughter put a password on to log on to windows and now she dont remember what it is and I was wondering if there was any way to get around the password without reinstalling windows. He said that he has some info on there that he doesnt want to lose. Anyone have any ideas?

err the bios settings errr i dont no here got one what windows are you operating and put your pc in safemode that gets u on the pc you might be able to change pass, nether had my pass lost but that might work. i no you can get on the pc threw safe mode just keep your hand on F8 i think it is F8 any way.

yah, you should be able to go to safe mode and log-on as administrator, then go to contol panel / user accounts & change password.

If not u will have to reinstall windows there is people who charge you for password removal and it costs alot, not worth it, Forgetting your password is bad Lol
