Windows Media Player Screen Shots?

Ok this has being anoying the heck outta me,
I know you can take screenshots from videos playing in WMP and it works but not for me, ive tryed and tryed, i even tryed minimize'n the WMP video to see if it makes a diffrence but it doesnt.(lol duh)

Well anyways, this is what it looks like when i take the image to paint,

(spose to be a pic here from the video(s) but none appear(sp) )

Ive looked through the options aswell and i cant see any that really rings a bell but this one ~

But still not sure if it means something else, or what

yeah, this happens to me as well. other times the picture will just stop about half into the video.

i have done some investigation my dear, and have come up with this:

all you have to do is to disable hardware acceleration in WMP's options, and then you can make snapshots using the print button or corel capture or whatever else. you can't make snapshots of hardware accelerated video.

I wish I could answer your question, but I think I know the cause.

I've read in some places that to speed up the video, one of the major components is bypassed - not sure if its the CPU or the graphics card, think its the latter.

Therefore, when you go to take a screenshot Windows doesn't 'see' the video, so it doesnt' appear in the screenshot.

Theres some setting you can change, but I don't know which :s
