windows media player 11?

I recently updated my Windows Media Player, when my computer told informed me of an update, which was a few days ago. Now, whenever I try to edit footage of movies I make in Windows Movie Maker, it comes up as blackness, with no footage. The darkness last throughout the entire clip... What do I do?
Even new footage I import comes up as nothingness...

well you could try his idea, or try reinstalling media player. also try running windows update

Media player makes me angry, although its really nice, once you download 1 million codecs!!!!
i tried to uninstall it on my laptop, dont go there ugly situation, stupid me wasnt thinking and deleted it from windows folder, the had like a trillion dlls left, whoops! err!

It depends on what the problem is, do you get an error message or is there music playing and no picture or what?

I don't know what my problem is, but I was messing around with lots of stuff, and it works again...
