Windows Media Encoder?

hey does any body know how to help me? well my problen is i am using Windows Media Encoder ( well trying) and i cant get the broadcast a live event to work properly . is there any body who can help me

youd be better off posting in the general hardware software b/c this is more of a software issue i understand that it works with the internet, but it is still more software side... i dont know much about encoder does it require ports to be forwarded?
