Windows keeps activating

I have a comp that me and my dad use. I like to play around and expirment with it, So I have to reinstall windows pretty often. I've done it about 6 or 7 times now, and activated it every time! I thought you can only activate it 3 times, but it keeps working. anyone know why?

You can activate it on 1 computer
Your using the same computer so you can reinstall it till the computer breaks. One day Ill have to read about transfer rights.

yeah I think it's okay because it knows you're reformatting.

i called microsoft cuz i had a problem activating and the guy said you can only reactivate 5 times, and after that you have to pay for relicensing or something like that

thats what im gonna do. but heck Ive got 15 copies of server 2003 so Im set!

anyway yeh I thought it would only do it three times or so. how could microsoft know if it's on the same comp or not?
