Hi all,

I'm building a new monster rig to replace my first Alienware* because I want something pretty that'll last. I can't decide between Windows 7 or 8. Here are the future specs, so tell me what OS you think would be more optimal; I just can't decide:

Intel Core i7-3770k 3.5Ghz Quad-core processor

Corsair 600T Case (Sapphire White)

ASUS Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard

16gb Corsair Vengeance RAM (or Dominator, haven't fully decided)

Kingston HyperX 120gb SSD (boot partition)

Seagate Barracuda 1tb HDD (storage)

Nvidia Geforce GTX TITAN 6bg gddr5 graphics card

Corsair 750 gold edition power supply

Let me know whether Win7 or Win8 is better,

Thanks,
Chrome

You don't need 16GB of ram as it overkill and you would only need it if you were to be doing videos at fps and gaming at the same time, So 8GB would be fine.

Looks like a good build to me. I personally would go ahead and get 16GB as RAM is very cheap these days, and with that kind of processing power, you might as well go ahead and match your processor power.

As far as OS goes, which one are you more comfortable with? Personally I would choose Windows 7, but if you have used Windows 8 and like it, I wouldn't see a problem using it instead.
