That's only older Intel graphic chipsets that Intel is not planning on making Win8 drivers for.

I'm on a laptop with the standard Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile card. Does this mean I am doomed?

I've got Series 4. I looked on the site and found the link for that particular series but it just took me to a download page.

If you have a 4 Series integrated graphics in a laptop, then Intel is not planning on releasing drivers for it (as stated in the link above).

I know I just wondered if there was any change to the decision as I'm not so knowledgeable in terms of hardware + drivers etc. I thought you guys would know more about it.

Might be an excuse for an upgrade!

Even using 64bit desktops at work make all the difference. Everything seems to function smoothly.

Haven't had a desktop since Win98!

Might be getting a bunce soon too so it's perfect timing!

How cheap can I custom build a desktop for? (parts all together, got monitor).
