Windows 7 installation issues

For information here are the specs and make and model of the PC:

Acer Aspire XC-603 Desktop PC

- Intel Celeron Quad Core J1900
- 4GB RAM
- 500GB HDD
- DVD Writer

Looks like this laptop did have Windows 8 on it, have you disabled secured boot? Go into your bios and select Legacy OS
Windows 7 won't install with Secure Boot turned on within the bios... (disable UEFI Secure Boot)

Hello Joe,

This is a desktop, it came with just free DOS on it however ive tried to install windows 7 on it via USB and Disc, however it just blue screens, however when I use a bootable version of Windows 8 it installs fine. Finally in the BIOS i have tried secure boot on and off, also legacy devices are allowed and ive tried turning CSM on and off but still no luck.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers

where did you get your version of Windows 7 from?
If it's not from a brick and mortar store or from Digital River, then there could be an issue with the os itself

Just an online shop called ebuyer.com, rated so it is genuine, what gets me is the copy of Windows 8 im using is not genuine but actually works, really odd issue, I feel as though every option is exhausted.

Cheers

Regards
