Yeah, I doubt it's supposed to go that fast. I've seen those before in West Texas and they usually aren't spinning too fast. It's actually better than petroleum for energy because it's not letting anything into the atmosphere. This turbine was just spun past it's limit for one reason or another.

I agree, a set up springs to mind, also look at the speed of the arms, there going a tad fast dont you think.

Yeah, those blades are spinning way too fast. Either they knew something was bound to happen or they had to take it down anyway and decided to blow it up. loll
