Win Update help

Windows xp just Downloaded some Up Dates and I clicked to Install them.

And it says that some up dates can not be installed.

Windows Security and then a lot of numbers.

So I shutdown like it says and restart and the same icone stays in my Tray that says.
Win Up Dates are ready to be installed.

And it goes through the same thing over and over and over again.

Please help???

i hate that too

unless they are critical updates, i wouldn't install them

and if you can't i wouldn't really worry about it

Sometimes if you Google the error code (that's the big number) this can bring your problem to light and perhaps provide you with a solution. There's a few things that can cause this, for example certain DLL files becoming unregistered, but the error code should hold the key to what's gone wrong and getting the things to install properly.
