Will VR eliminate physical travel

I think the furthest VR will ever go is tapping into dreams, and basically allowing you to lucid dream. And as we all know, that feels great when you're dreaming, but it's rare you wake up and think "Damn, I want to go back". Unless it's a sex dream of course...

So no, I don't think it will get rid of physical travel. There's something about getting lost in Paris, then seeing the Eiffel Tower in the distance and realizing that's where you're going. And then eating french food in a proper french restaurant, leaving you with a proper french debt.

However, what I do believe will happen is that architects will be able to create virtual reality new buildings, and they will attract a lot of attention. Instead of finding a government that will spend 2 billion pounds on developing your idea, you get a CAD company to create it for a (this is a bull**** figure, i've no experience in this) years work. Then all of a sudden, you get these experiences in VR that you could never have in real life.
