Will this processor work with this motherboard?

I have found this motherboard (skt 775, FSB 800)

and this processor (Intel E2140 Socket 775 2x1.60GHz 1MB Cache 800FSB) - A Pentium Dual - Core

The motherboard says it won't support a C2D (probably because of its FSB), it says it supports a Pentium D, but nothing about a Pentium Dual-Core at all. It should work looking at the FSB, DDR2 ram and socket 775 but I just wanted to check. Thanks in advance.

since it doesnt say that it supports any core 2 duo or core 2 duo extreme or anything my guess is that its not designed for 64bit processing and so probably wouldnt work at all even if it has a good-ish FSB and supports ddr2.

thanks, really I should look for one that supports c2d anyway, then I know the pentium dual - core will definately work, it also gives me the ability to upgrade later.

yep besides...motherboards designed to work with c2d will have a higher fsb (not guaranteed though )
