Will mouses that are XP compatible work with Vista?

As the title says really, it's just I already have quite a nice mouse but my new PC will have Vista, so I was just wondering if the mouse will work with my new comp even if it doesn't state that it's Vista compatible.

It doesn't matter if it says Vista compatible or not, Vista should just pick it up shortly after you plug it in and it'll automatically configure the drivers with no input from you.

You don't even have to load drivers for it too!!! Vista has all the OEM drivers built in to it's OS database so virtually any mouse, even wireless ones will work. I have a Logitech G7 wireless gaming mouse used on XP before. When I reformatted and installed Vista, it picked it right up and works beautifully.

The only feature you lose without installing the drivers is the stupid battery notification on screen. But who cares about that because the G7 has it's own build in battery indicator, lol.
