Will a DirectX 11 graphics card work in Windows XP?

The other day my old ATI Radeon X1600XT gave up the ghost, so I'm looking at this newer DirectX 11 card (Here), and my question is, will it run on DirectX 9.0C for Windows XP? And if so, are there any other compatibility issues I should be aware of?

I know I should probably just build a new system, but money is tight right now, and I'd like to keep this one running at least another year. Which should be interesting considering it was built around 2006. Here's the specs:

Intel D101GGC mobo
Intel Pentium 4 - 2.8ghz single core w/ HyperThreading
1gb DDR PC32000 RAM
VisionTek 512mb ATI Radeon X1600XT (Now dead)
80gb and 250gb IDE HDDs
Antec 500W psu
Windows XP Home Sp3

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

I think that a DirectX 11 card will just be bottlenecked since WinXP only goes up to 9.

Don't quote me on it, tho.
