Do you have a LAN card?

I've heard things about these types of cards powering back up the computer somehow.

If not, I'd advise you switch off the main plug socket anyway. I don't tend to switch off the computer without automatically doing that, since the computers still receiving power through the motherboard, etc.
 
I don't exactly know what it is, but I've heard stories where people have turned on a phone thing in the BIOS and any activity on the line causes the PC to wake up.

Not a very good comment, I know. :rolleyes:

Perhaps someone knows what I'm talking about and can explain?
 
It is a Power management issue. It could be a timer that makes it turn on, a wake up on-LAN, a keyboard space. Phone rings, the PC turns on. Check the Power management.
