Try azereus. I had the same problem with Utorrent and it wouldn't download fast at all. Then I installed azereus and i get unlimited.

I uses azereus, don't get any problems. Also make sure you torrents have more seeds than leechers.

Azureus is a resource hog...utorrent is much better IMO. The torrent client doesn't have any impact on the speeds though as long as you have it configured correctly.
