It could be down to the simple fact that you installed a prerelease, they dont always work the way they should, so its a risk you take.

piracy is fine if you cannot afford the software but need it real bad cos you are either ,
A)Poor
B)under 18 but need software for school
plus who wants to pay £100+ for a circle of plastic with a bit of foil , all you are actually payinf for is bill gates to have another quilted pair of slippers or some overpaid software developer to buy yet another bently

The prices for Vista imo is extreme , how they can justify that i dont know, same with office. But this is digressing from the topic
