who makes the apps for smart tv?

so im in the phone with LG and they claim Netflix makes the app.
Netflix claims that LG makes the app

ive called them twice and each claim the other guy makes the app

I'd personally call Netflix and get a higher up, Ask the name of who your talking with and when they refuse help stating LG makes the ap then ask to be transferred to the dept to cancel your subscription. Yes LG tv's have the netflix ap but so does every other brand so I'm thinking LG just puts it on there TV tweaking it to work with whatever operating system they have in there TV. So after you have the netflix operator name and you mention you cant use it so why keep paying I BET he finds a solution to the issue pretty fast.

Chances are NetFlix has some sort of package that they sell to manufactures to create an app that is compatible with the TV it will be installed on. In a way both companies made the app, yet neither one made it either. Price of NetFlix would certainly go up if they had to have a team create apps for every major smart tv out there.

yea they both deny responsibility. then LG higher level tech finally broke down and said they make the final app that we see
