in 2007 i was away for 4.5 weeks and couldn't check my email nd came back with 15k of emails, only about 300-400 were emails that i looked at, about half of those 3-400 were people, and the rest were from other stuff like websites ect.

I have spam automatically deleted with a filter
in "from", you put "is:spam" (without quotes), and tell it to delete them

and gmail has about the best spam filter I've ever used

Hah, this is true, considering I spend my life on forums.

This is what happens when you don't keep on top of deleting emails you don't need to keep, it's just too much work going back and deleting all of em.
