Please help me select the CPU based on its performance, no opinions on brand or quality please.

Here is the intel one:

Here is the AMD one:

I know that many people favor Intel over AMD so AMD tends to be cheaper for the same performance (correct me if im wrong), I'm I right?

Also, I play games like World of Warcraft and WC3, will either of these make it possible to get 60FPS on MAX settings with a 9800gtx or possible 260gt? I might play more demanding games like Crysis in the future, will these processors be able to support those games?

What exactly is your budget? What size monitor do you play on? What motherboard are you planning to buy? Both of these cards will bottleneck a 260.

budge is under 800, 19inch monitor, an average motherboard? or perhaps you can suggest one. How good of a cpu will i need to not bottleneck a 260.

The AMD X2 6000+ is a better performer than the E5200 in most gaming applications.

If you're building a new rig, I would suggest going with the new Phenom II or Core 2 Duo processors as they offer much more performance than the Athlon X2 and dual core Pentium processors.

I need to play Diablo3 and Starcraft 2 on MAX settings when it comes out, any suggestions?

The total is $663. You have your choice of any case you prefer. This is pretty much overkill for Diablo and Starcraft, but it gives you a lot of headroom to upgrade in the future and play demanding games with ease.

i wouldn't get that MOBO you would then need to spend like 120 dollars on ddr3 RAM
