I got this one for Christmas, it cost $600 w/o tax. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Acer...63314/catOid/-12963/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do
I will use it for web surfing, playin/dl-ing music, burning dvds, word processing, maybe some games. I know this

one is better, but should I spend the extra $130 on it? Like will it make a huuuge difference. I just want one that runs really nice and is not slow. And I figured the X2 would last me a lot longer than the other one maybe.
My PC is 2 years old now; I built it. It is socket 939, AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 160GB hard drive, 512 MB RAM, 9600XT or Pro (cant remember). I know I can upgrade this easily if need be for cheap, right? I thought about selling the PC, and getting the nice laptop, but if I keep the PC I might not need the really nice laptop. I dunno, what would you guys do? I'm in college in a dorm and do not live with parents when school gets out, so its not like I have a 'home' computer, just the PC in the dorm with me.
Thanks for the help!
