You posted about these here and at TF. You got the same response there as here. You copied and pasted the post about being attacked. No one attacked you.
If you want to use out of date parts then by all means knock yourself out.
Wish LHuser was still around. He was our resident old tech expert. He even went as far as trouble shoot and repair components on the mother boards.

The thing is, it's barely worth doing this anymore unless the board is less than a couple of years old and the problem is obvious. Obviously we've all replaced swollen capacitors, but if you have to spend any decent amount of time on it, it kinda ruins the point.
I tend to value it based on an hourly rate, if a complete new board costs less than it would do to buy my time at work (hourly rate), then there's no point repairing it. (ignore this if you repair it purely out of enjoyment
