Which Digital Camera should I get?

So it's out of two cameras really, the Panasonic DMC FS5 or the Sony DSC-170.

I really am not sure which to get, because they both seem to be amazing, I can get:

Something tells me the panasonic one (which is brand new etc., the price shops buy it) is cheap for a reason, and possibly not such a good camera.

Anyone tell me what they think of Panasonic Lumix / Sony Cybershot cameras?

Please do not tell me any other cameras to get, just what they think / about their current sony / panasonic camera because I have already decided I want one of these two, as my choices are limited! Thanks!

My parents have a sony cybershot P200, And it's never let them down. I know some people that had a Panasonic Lumix, who had their shutters stick, and various other things like that.

It COULD have just been a one off, but I would go with the sony myself.
