Which card would be better?

The 6600 is the better one to choose... it's faster and is 50 bucks cheaper or more than the ati 9800 pro... escpecially the 128 mb version of the 9800 pro. Need proof then google 6600GT or 9800 PRO of look for benchmark tests.

Yeah, 6800 no decision really, just a plain better Card.

Well i agree... if you know how to overclock and unlock the 16 pipes on the geforce 6800, go for it. If not then you should anyway and look for some online tutorials. You will get better performance in the end with the added pipelines and vertex shaders.

the 6800GT can go OC over Ultra Speeds easily.

thats true, but they get stuck around 430/1200 and then they go no more, i think the memory speed there is a little high too
