What language should I start with and on what site?

Also I do know a little bit of programing, I understand how it works and what not so none of those things that "set you up to learn any programing language". I mean an actual, useful, modern language, thanks!

C++ if you're actually looking to get properly into programming, it'll help set you up for learning other languages plus it's pretty useful on its own

I use Codeblocks IDE - Code::Blocks | Free Development software downloads at SourceForge.net, complies c++ just fine.

+1 to Code::Blocks. It's what I usually use when I do C++.

Although, I do like Visual Studio because I like its debugger better.

Yea I've heard visual studios mentioned on a lot of other forums, its not free though or is it?
