Bloody Aussie Broadband sucks!....

1.5mbps 155kb/s DL and 25kb/s UL, and 25gb cap then i go to dialup speed...

well i have a 512/512 and I can honestly say that it's great for browsing the internet etc. Only bad thing is that downloads take ages.

On my dialup, I get 2kb/s (20 kbits/s) download and 1kb/s (10 kbit/s) upload. =/
On my wireless, I get 134 kb/s (1.3 mbps) download and I don't know the upload.

I gat Up to 30 Mbps/5 Mbps from Verizon FioS !!! It is so Good.

This is interesting, i have just checked the verizon fios website, where they show the pricing for the 3 packeges they offer.

Up to 5 Mbps/2 Mbps $34.95/month
Up to 15 Mbps/2 Mbps $44.95/month
Up to 30 Mbps/5 Mbps $179.95/month

About 4-5 month ago i gat the (Up to 30 Mbps/5 Mbps) but i sure as hell dont pay $179.95/month i pay about $40/moth how can this be? lol

My home connection has had a few free upgrades, going from 1mbps to 3.5mbps now, which I thought was really good til I read that!

Well at least here the fastest connection we can get is 8Mbps/1Mbps I think. But it's only like 2e more expensive per month than the 2Mbps/1Mbps. This is because the max speed of the 8Mbps is 8Mbps, but they only promise that the speed is always at least 2Mbps.
