What You've Just Bought!

My audio equipment was all rack mounted. I had a pre-amp and amp from GAS (Great American Sound). My speakers were Acoustic Research AR-9s which were absolutely awesome with 2 active 12 inch woofers in each tower and weighed 150 lbs each. My amp put out a very clean 160W per channel.

That some nice audio set ups you guys have. I have to use my 3 guitar amps for my audio but I can dial them in for a real nice sound.

Browsing Marketplace today and got myself some Klipsch Reference towers for 200.

I've always heard of good things about Klipsch speakers, although I've never had an opportunity to see or hear.

Klipsch was one of the early speaker pioneers and known for their very efficient designs. A quote that I rmember being attributed to Paul Klipsch was, "What this country needs is a good, 1 watt amplifier."

Well I can tell you right now, with only 2 drivers and a tweeter they sound way better than my Polk towers that are loaded. I'll eventually get around to taking the JBL Arena bookshelves back down.
