ok i took this engine off a broken lawnmower and im going to rebuild as the carburetor doesnt work and either does the throttle. Just a little side project i want to do. What should i do with the engine when i get it work though? i was thinking about making a scooter or something. It's 3.5HP will that be enough to propel somebody?

More then enough.

But what did it come off off? Meaning make/model?

Picutures would be best.

Unless you have the tools to do some fabrication your best option would be a scooter.

If you can get your hands on some metal tubing etc you could make a little dune buggy or a motorcycle.

My one buddy actually had a little motorcycle he made out of a lawnmower. Not sure what the horsepower on it was but it couldn't of been much. I'd say it probally ran around 25 miles an hour though. Although if you geared it differently it may have ran faster. Was always fun to have a beer and go clown around on the hoopdy.

my dads actually getting a new lawn mower and the old ones engine is still good
im pretty sure it a 3.8/4 horse power
how would i go about stripping it down and making a moder scooter

^it came from from a push mower not riding one

no idea what make\model, probably 10-15 years old, i might not be able to rebuild it though but its been fun so far :D, cant get the gear off though :(
