Hi Everybody!
We'd like to open a new department for web site design, but I know nothing about PRO graphics software. Can you tell me what software to choose and what it will cost me?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Macromedia Fireworks is made for web graphics but it isn't as powerful as Photoshop.

Photoshop (comes w/ imageready) costs a ton but it is a very good.
You can also use GIMP which is a free open source program that is just like photoshop.

Photoshop elements is a cut down version with less features ( cost about 1/5 of Photoshop)

www.adobe.com (has prices for all these programs)

"T3h 100%-337..."

I have those! :) I have to admit, Photoshop is the most godly graphics editor currently available. :D It is worth every penny.

However, in some instances it would be better to buy Photoshop 7.0 instead of CS. Idunno, most people like 7.0's editing environment better than the later versions.

Image Ready: Is a version of Photoshop designed for gif animations.:D

Ya I would go with CS or like ATIRAGEPRO said 7.0, I have elements and I will tell you that you are extrememly limited in what you can do.
