What is the best AMD Processor??????

I have decided to go with AMD.

What is the best processor they do?

AMD Athlon 64???

Can any1 help who has a good understanding of AMD.

AMD's top of the line consumer product is the Athlon FX-55. An Athlon 64 3200 would be fine for games, hell most gamers have a 64's just because they cant afford an FX-55.

Wow! I'm waiting till next week. I was going to get the AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Venice Integrated into Chip FSB 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor
, but I guess I'll switch over to one of those!

How many gigahertz is the fx-57? The 4800+ is 4.8g, right? Is there a site which has there specs yet?

Edit: wow, the fx55 is 800. There is no way that I will be able to get even that. I'm trying to stay below $1500.

Edit again: If I order it with the dfi lanparty, it only costs $250! Sweet! Maybe there will be a good deal with the 4800+ when it comes out.

FX-57 for gamers (It's "4400") and the 4800+ if your a multitasker

The 4800 is actually two CPU's in one, which is faster for dual core programs, but slower for gaming
