hi, i was wondering about the cost of viewing website.
I presume that website are not non profit things so therfore I was wondering how they make thier money.
So my query is, do you have to pay a little amount just fo rlooking at a website.

I would be trully grateful if anyone may help, thanks.

Ya sometimes pay sites if its something like porn etc. Alot of sites have advertising pop ups wich help pay aswell

A lot of sites get their money from advertising, and a lot get their money from subscriptions to things you have to pay for, like premium services or like a lot of dating sites, you have to pay to contact people and send email, things like that.

also Tommy boy, mentioned bout dating sites where you have to pay to contact people and send email. Do you pay for this like a subscription up front. Or does it just put the cost on your phone bill.

Ya normally give credit card details

If your on dial up, then some companies can give you a number to ring which will be more expensive than your normal one.

Otherwise, you just have to give your credit card details.

Websites don't just add it to your phone bill automatically. Normally you have to give credit card details after you click on a sign up link on the webpage. You don't get charged unless you click a link and go through the steps putting in your credit card info and contact information and such. If you don't do that, you simply do not get the premium services or can't see whatever the website restricts to paying customers.
