I am having trouble using my 2tb western digital caviar black hard drive. Everytime I plug it in it wont let me boot, I get through all the bios menues but when windows 7 boot manager loads it freaks out and asks me to repair it and crap, none of it works.
I think it is because on a previous install of windows 7 I created a system image on that drive and now with the OS loaded on a 120g ssd it is just confusing windows 7, maybe it is trying to boot from the system image? I have played around with the bios on my asus z68 forever and nothing works, not even loading the optimized defaults.
This one has really got me stumped. If it IS the hd what do I do? get a new one? low level format it, which I dont know how?
Any advice would be great, hate to trash the hd seeings how it cost freekin 250$! wow!
