Walking Through 40 Years of Hard Disk Drive History

That's pretty cool. I never knew hard drives were that big to start out. 5MB won't get you anywhere now...

Pretty interesting, does make me wonder why we've had such speedy drives for decades and 5400RPM and 7200RPM devices still sit as standard. But a nifty find nonetheless

I remember getting a 2.1 gb hard drive and the guy at the computer store said I'd never fill that up....lol Probably early 90's. Then my computer school had 6gb hard drives in their computers and I thought those were huge, around 1998.

You mean 50 years? :p

I still own a 1.6GB with the price tag on it, which read $295!
They were expensive at that time...
