VPS or non VPS company?

Hello guys! What do you think where better to get VPS servers from VPS (like VPSLAND.com :: Advanced VPS Hosting, MicroVPS.com) or not VPS company (like vps hosting, vds hosting, virtual server, irc allowed, vds, vps at Santrex, Jodohosting.com)?
What are differences? What are pros and cons?

IMO, though narrow specialization is a plus for certain company, this might also be very riskful, because this might appear th absolutely inexperienced provider with numbers of downtimes and incomplete work...

The companies which provide something more trhan just VPS/Dedis/Reselling/etc are more reliable to my mind, because wide portfolio of services is also very big plus.

As for suggestion I can name Globaltap.com - windows and linux VPS for reasonable money. Also shared and dedis... but this is not considered to be in this thread.
