I think it's all a joke. They'll say anything to get in the White House.

We'll see what they can do once they get there.

I see where you're coming from, but they need to persuade. They can't go saying everything that's bad about them. The way politics work is through the use of exaggeration. I doubt 50% of what they say will be accomplished, but you gotta go with the one who promises the most things you want, because then you're bound to get at least some.
