Anyone ever install a VOIP system? I am thinking about swithching over at my company. The admin before me outsourced everything and I am looking at lowering costs and doing things myself. I have a general idea on what needs to be done and would look into it alot more it I did do it myself, but was just looking for any opinions on it. Is outsourcing the best way to go with this?

No, you can set it up yourself. We ran VOIP through 3 diferent cities using cisco PIX firewalls and cisco 1600 routers (configured for VPN) and it works great.

asterisk is a good VOIP and its free I think, but yeah also vonage is supposed to be good
