The downloads were so slow because they didn't offer a torrent, so I figured it'd be faster to just get the DVDs then to wait for the download.

Now the big challenge: dual boot it with Mac OS X on my laptop.

Mine downloaded at +500K so it only took like overnight. Cheaper and faster.

You got lucky, it was going 20kbps for me. I'm on 6.0/1.5 down/up cable line.

Ouch that's really slow. At that poimt it's a good idea to just order the DVD's.

I think I will wait for the pirated copies to come out, even then I doubt I will use it, the OS's around now do prettymuch anything I want to do.

^ Me too. But you gotta admit, sometimes it's fun to mess with crappy OS's. Countless times I've installed Windows 98 in VMware just to see how long it lasts on the internet now. lol
