Vista question

So ive got a 64 bit processor (e6600) but im running windows 32bit Home edition. Am i wasting the power of the CPU? Will upgrading to vista be a lot faster? I know a beta version is out - should i get that? Or are there problems with it? Should i just wait till Feb and buy it? - Or perhaps in Feb XP Pro 64 bit as the price may drop a fair bit? ?

Any advice would be great.

I would wait for vista, if ya gonna use it. Ive tried XP64 , and the driver support was crap, im guessing the vista 64 bit will be the same, especially if you have some older components

All my components are new X1900XT and DS4 mobo 2Gb DDR2 800Mhz and such

I was thinking more about maybe printers and scanners etc, but if ya got new ones aswell, ya will probably be fine, unless its some obscure brand.
