Vista 32 - Favorite Links Disappeared & Cant Get Back?

Hey guys, for some reason my Favorite Links have vanished from Explorer and I have tried everything to get them back but failed each time. Even tried right-clicking in the window and selecting "Restore Default Favorite Links" but that just makes the window flash and nothing else. Anyone got any ideas what it could be as I use this window all the time and really need it back?
