do you mean x800xl or x1800xl ?! two very different cards...

if you're talking about x800xl, then yes, HUGE difference... x800xl is about equal to a 6800gt.. you can't run oblivion etc on max w/ x800xl..

7900gt is also better than the x1800xl, but the x1800xl is still a very good card...

7900gt is about equivalent to a 7800gtx, which is a lot better than the 7800gt which is about equivalent to the x1800xl .....
