Ok my situation is my computer died from viruses but i plan to build a new one and i have alot of questions before i do.

1. Since my computer died from the virus what parts would it be safe for me to salvage?

2. What is the best overall anti virus and anti spyware? I mean one that doesnt slow down the computer when im not scanning.

3. and for my final question i would like to ask if its even a good idea to salvage some of the stuff.

Viruses only affect software. It would be a very extreme circumstance if a virus affected any hardware. Because of this, if you just wipe the hard drive and start out with a fresh OS install, any effects of viruses will be gone. There is no need to get a new computer just because a virus destroyed your data.

The best antivirus software in my opinion is NOD32. NOD32 isn't free though. I'd say the best free one is avast.
The best pay antispyware is Spy Sweeper. The best free is Ad-aware.
